If you need to get rid of existing entries you might try using the nRelate plugin instead: http://makemyblogpretty.com/2012/01/08/nrelate-is-a-good-linkwithin-alternative-if-you-want-a-related-posts-widget-with-thumbnail-images/

Thanks for the tip. How long does it take for it to work? and will it be able to get rid of existing index? I just tried it on my blog, but it hasn’t taken effect yet.

Thanks so much for the awesome tip! I think to answer Renato’s question it’s done this way:

User-agent: *
Allow: /

User-agent: LinkWithin
Disallow: /category/miscellaneous

(where miscellaneous is the category name you want to exclude)

I was looking for it.

I want to exclude a category I’ve used like this
User-agent: *
Allow: /

User-agent: LinkWithin
Disallow: /7/
Allow: /

but don’t work!
